In Conversation With… Vishwa P, Founder, FastApp Development
Can you please help us know your professional background?
I graduated in 2012. After that instead of working for MNCs with my college placement, I preferred to go with startups for the obvious reasons i.e. to learn quickly as much as possible. I worked for a couple of startups before starting up with FastApp Development in 2018.
Can you please tell us about your venture ‘FastApp Development’?
I observed the trend in the industry that companies try to work in all the technologies present in the market.
They try to work in python, ruby, nodejs, golang etc. with the same set of developers in the team. I think this
does not give the premium code quality for the project. I tried to fill in this gap to provide premium code quality
with focus on Python language.
What impact did covid-19 pandemic have on your business? How do you plan to overcome it?
As we are working remotely for 3 years now, covid-19 actually helped us to gain more clients over the past one year because they trusted our skill sets while working remotely and delivering the products and services. We have grown exponentially and our team size has increased by 150% and we are still hiring.
What is the USP of your business? Why should consumers choose you over the competition?
This gives us the edge over the competition.
What is the scalability of your business? How are you planning to scale up your business?
We are planning to expand our business in Asia. Right now we are focusing more on the USA and Canada. We will soon expand our management team along with the technology team. Right now we are planning to hire experts in Ruby language so that we can provide services with that language.
What is the best moment in your professional journey so far?
It was when I was fearing the business to doom in March 2020, while it just went into reverse direction and we got more work since then.
What role has technology played in the success of your venture?
We are all about technology. We are a team of developers who are industry experts and that helps us to deliver great products and services.
As a business leader, how important is it to accept criticism and feedback gracefully?
Well, if you think you are always right then there’s definitely something wrong. I try to listen to the criticism in a constructive way and self-introspect whenever possible. I am also accessible to all my team members so that they don’t have to think even once before reaching out to me.
What is your success mantra? Please share your keys to success.
Premium services will always provide you with loyal customers. As working remotely, communication matters a lot and goes a long way if you keep transparency with the clients.
