In conversation with… Simran Bhatia, Founder, The Marketpreneur

Can you please help us know what ‘The Marketpreneur’ is all about?

The Marketpreneur began in 2018 when Simran Bhatia, a well-traveled lifestyle influencer and a featured marketing strategist decided to help local businesses get direct sales alongside personal branding through creative strategies at the best possible budget.

Today, we are privileged to have helped hundreds of LOCAL businesses with exceptional marketing strategies. Also, we are extremely excited to have expanded our venture to offer marketing services based on our clients’ demands and we are one of the google verified ventures. We offer the finest and most personalized marketing services and strategies in the country, prepared by the finest people. Our employees, who we consider our partners, are at the heart of the Marketpreneur Experience.

What inspired you to get into full time entrepreneurship?

Working in the corporate world for almost 2 years with such an organization and then moving to another vertical is certainly not an easy thing to do. My role at American Express helped me to learn about clients and their behavior and it also made me realize my strengths, how to identify opportunities and apply what I learned in my everyday life.

So, focus on learning and giving the best of yourself regardless of the role that you are in is something that I preach and practice.

So, I leverage my experience to reach new clients at the beginning of my venture, and here I am now with Marketpreneur – one stop platform for marketing strategies and services for women entrepreneurs and local business.

The interpersonal and the interpersonal skills are what help, be it any job or self-owned business.

Why did you choose the marketing field for your venture? What is the problem your venture is trying to solve?

Marketing is all about telling a story and I feel I can curate with passion and hard work, that is why, Marketpreneur. At Marketpreneur, we have always believed in the power of marketing, women entrepreneurs and local businesses. It started with our early days, understanding that our country’s future is intricately tied to the futures of the local businesses and women entrepreneurs.

But, why is it that we primarily support women entrepreneurs and local businesses?

When women, one of the most vulnerable parts of our society is given access to their own financial freedom, they take on a more full societal role in their culture. Because many women are also parents, lifting them out of poverty will also help children become healthier, and the overall economic status of our country improves.
Similarly, local businesses have been hit the hardest by the pandemic. Without a digital presence, they count on customers’ patronage to stay afloat in lean times.

As it has been from the beginning, our purpose goes far beyond profit. We believe in the pursuit of doing good. And, we achieve it through our marketing strategies and services.

Please help us celebrate the most successful moment in your professional journey so far.

I am still working towards it, it’s too early to say one. I am still learning.

What difficulties and challenges have you faced in your professional journey so far?

We offer a wide array of exceptional services that bridge the gap between marketing and organic sales and there are challenges on an everyday basis when you are running your own venture, be it giving the best to your clients or converting the potential clients. It comes with its own fair of concerns until you give your best.

As a business leader, what motivates you the most to keep going on a daily basis?

People inspire me a lot. They teach me new ways to use social media because finding and using the right social media is a blessing in the digital marketing arena. You can learn and do your best if you know how to use the right platforms.

Please share your success mantra/ keys to success.

For me, self- discipline and persistence are the two words that define success. But the definition of success keeps on changing and it should change, because that’s how you grow.

The journey of an entrepreneur is all about how clear you are with your goals and how decisive you are every day at work. Your professional life requires discipline and clarity. Only then will you be able to grow and find your own definition of success.

What do you do to handle the pressure and stress that comes along with entrepreneurship?
The process of decluttering your mind and spending time on yourself helps a lot.

According to you, what is the one best thing about ‘The Marketpreneur’?
It won’t be fair as a founder to say just one, for the sake of question, I would say we are working towards a sustainable future through our venture and that is satisfying.

What is one thing that you would like to change about ‘The Marketpreneur’?
There is nothing I would like to change about the venture. We may come up with new verticals to provide creative strategies in the future.

Where do you see your venture in the next 10 years?

As an individual, I believe in short term goals, I am sure it will be standing strong the way it is now in the future.

Last but not the least, what is your message for aspiring entrepreneurs?

1. If you ever feel like giving up, don’t ever let that temporary thought affect your determination. The success stories of inspiring people you listen to can be overwhelming but trust me everyone has their own hardships. So, what matters is how you deal with your concerns. Have faith in yourself and never once doubt your goals.
2. Never let anyone decide what’s good for you. Always be confident about your decisions and work hard. Remember, persistence always helps. You don’t fail, you learn.

Is there anything else that you would like to share for the benefit of the readers of this conversation?

Whether you are an influencer or not, whether you are on social media or not, you are capable and have the ability to learn and succeed. Failures happen and they are valuable lessons that will lead you to success. Fail, learn, and shortly, you will be an inspiration to many.

Believe in yourself, read a lot of books, and talk to people about their experiences. Never let your idea go in vain.
